VIVOTEK is pleased to announce our success through rigorous TL9000 testing. Certified by the TUV Rheinland Group, and internationally recognized for its unbiased evaluation system, the TL9000 was constructed and is updated by the QuEST (Quality Excellence for Suppliers of Telecommunications) Forum.
This test is specifically designed to establish and regulate the quality control of products & services throughout the international telecommunication industry. TL9000 specifies certain standards and protocols that must be followed for the design, development, production, delivery, installation, and maintenance of products & services. TL9000 also includes performance and cost-based metrics that measure reliability and quality.
VIVOTEK is proud to announce the success through ISO 14001 certification. As a company whose main drive is to improve the safety and security of our customer's world, we realize the importance of protecting the environment around us. The ISO 14001 serves to prove our dedication to continually improving our operations and methods.
The certification process exists to testify about an organization's efforts to: (a) minimize how their operations negatively affect the environment, (b) comply with applicable laws, regulations, and other environmentally oriented requirements, and (c) continually improve to keep our environment healthy.
VIVOTEK is proud to announce our strict adherence to RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) standards. The RoHS Directive was adopted in February 2003 by the European Union, and takes effect July 2006. This directive restricts the use of: Lead, Mercury, Cadmium, Chromium VI, PBB, and PBDE in the manufacture of various types of electronic and electrical equipment to 0.1% by weight of homogeneous material (except for Cadmium which is limited to 0.01%). Meaning the restrictions apply to any single substance that can be separated mechanically-eg, the sheath on a coax cable, or wires within a RJ-45 cable. RoHS applies to the companies which ultimately market the products in the European Union, whether made or imported. China, Japan, and the US are all taking steps to conform to this standard.
VIVOTEK also closely observes the WEEE directive, which is separate, but related to the RoHS directive. WEEE is primarily tasked with reducing the amount of electrical and electronic equipment (often referred to as EEE) from entering landfill at the end of its useful life by encouraging reuse, recycling, and separate collection. The RoHS directive acts to reduce harmful substances at the source, ensuring that hazardous substances are not leached into the environment by equipment which could not have been recycled.
After receiving the certificates of ISO9001 and TL9000, VIVOTEK was qualified to apply IECQ HSPM QC 080000, and successfully got it in March, 2008.
IECQ HSPM QC 080000 is a standard developed by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) of the Quality Assessment System for Electronic Components. It applies process management to integrate and manage hazardous substances, helping companies to reduce the production of hazardous substances.
Approved with IECQ HSPM QC 080000, VIVOTEK will follow the regulations of RoHS and WEEE, comply with local laws and decrees, and most importantly, meet the requirements of our clients.
