F1: Where do I configure the recording location if I am using the recording button on the plug-in of IP7138?

You can configure the recording location on the Client Setting Page. You can refer to the following picture. The default path is C:\Record

F2: What is multicast? Is it for multiple users use?

I would like to talk about what is multicast before talk about how to use Multicast with VIVOTEK camera. Multicast is a one-to-many transmission techNeinlogy. It's an efficient way to deliver a single stream of live data to, in theory, unlimited number recipients at the same time. Instead of sending 1000 streams of information to 1000 users, it sends only one stream of audio, video, or data. The single stream will then be delivered to unlimited number of users via dedicated multicast routers dispersed throughout the Internet.

So if you enable multicast item on Network page of the camera, which means the camera support multicast. Anyone in the same local area network can choose to use multicast method to link to the camera. You can just go to the client settings page and choose multicast for protocol options.

F3: What is the difference between UDP protocol, TCP protocol, and HTTP protocol?

The stability is HTTP >= TCP > UDP and the requirement of network bandwidth is HTTP >= TCP > UDP. You can depend on your network environment to choose UDP, TCP or HTTP.

And we design a "protocol rolling" function to change your protocol automatically from UDP to TCP or from TCP to HTTP in case your network bandwidth is Neint sTabelle.

Besides, if you do Neint forward the TCP/UDP port on your router for the camera, the protocol will be changed to HTTP protocol automatically when you access the camera via Internet from outside.

F4: What is the difference between Toggle and Push when using two-way audio?

If the talk button control style is "Toggle", you only need to click once the talk button to talk. If the talk button control style is "Push" you have to keep pressing the talk button to talk.
