VIVOTEK receives Taiwan's First IECQ HSPM QC 080000 Certificate Issued by TÜV Rheinland Group

VIVOTEK INC. successfully passed TÜV Rheinland's audit and received IECQ certificate of Hazardous Substance Process Management (HSPM) with respect to the specification of QC 080000 IECQ HSPM, indicating that we have implemented a set of process-based measures covering product design, manufacturer, and distribution, with the aim to reduce hazardous substances.

IECQ HSPM QC 080000 is a standard developed by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) from the Quality Assessment System for Electronic Components. It applies process management to integrate and manage hazardous substances, and helps companies to reduce the production of such substances and fulfill international Green Product requirements such as RoHS. The standard has already emerged as an international standard, similar to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.

TÜV Rheinland has successfully become a Certification Body recognized by the Electronic Component Certification Board (ECCB) at the end of 2007 and can now directly issue IECQ HSPM QC 080000. Since VIVOTEK has a close relationship with TÜV Rheinland in aspect of product approvals testing, and now can also rely on them to ensure a systematic approach to the management of hazardous substances in our products. As Taiwan is among the world's key exporters of IT electronics, the issuance of the first IECQ certificate, audited and issued by TÜV Rheinland Taiwan to a Taiwan-based manufacturer, makes it all the more significant to both of us.

"Following ISO 14001 and TL 9000 in 2006, the certificate of IECQ HSPM QC 080000 marks a further step made by VIVOTEK towards the reduction of hazardous substances and green manufacturing, as well as its commitment to environmental protection and business sustainability," Said Owen Chen, the chairman of VIVOTEK, "VIVOTEK is glad to become TÜV Rheinland's first of auditing and certification partner on our way to Greener products and the implementation of our HSF policy—Insisting on Green Technology, Seeking for Pure Environment."
