Q1: I cannot receive the snapshot when using Motion Detection. How do I send snapshots by email? (IP7137/IP7135/PT7137/PT7135/IP7132 and 2000 series cameras, 3000 series cameras, 6000 series)

You have to fill in the blanks with your email server address/email address/account name/password on Network page first. Notice: Sender email address means the account that sends the email. Recipient email address means the account that you want to receive the snapshot email. The server address, username and password are for the sender's account. Take the following picture for example. atd@vivotek.com will receive the snapshot email from testing@vivotek.com.illustrator

Go to the Motion Detection page and add a motion window. Remember to check the "Enable motion detection" item.illustrator

Go to the Application page, check the schedule for when you want to send snapshots, and choose Motion trigger and send snapshots by email.illustrator

Q2: I cannot receive the snapshot when using Motion Detection. How do I send snapshots by FTP? (IP7137/IP7135/PT7137/PT7135/IP7132 and 2000 series cameras, 3000 series cameras, 6000 series)

Go to the Motion Detection page and add a motion window. Remember to check the "Enable motion detection" item. illustrator

Go to the Application page, check the schedule for when you want to send snapshots, and choose send snapshots by FTP. illustrator

Q3:I set up the buzzer according to the diagram and still could not get it to work. Besides providing power, is there anything else I need to do to get the buzzer to turn on when motion is detected? Also, what pin numbers should we be using? (P7132 and 2000 series cameras, 3000 series cameras, 6000 series)

You need to set up your buzzer and check which conditions of digital input should be used.

The Relay Output's "NO" pin (Normal Open), "NC" (Normal Close) pin, and "C" pin (Common) can be used to turn an external alarm on or off. When the system starts up, both relay output's "Common" pin will short the "NC" pin. A simple example is illustrated in the diagram below. illustrator

Q6: How to use "White light" of FD7131?

You can go to Application page to create one event with "Action"= Turn on white-light illuminators for x seconds and then FD7131 will turn on its white light while the trigger condition is matched. Besides, please especially note that there are 2 selections for White light use:

  1. Turn on the white light LED for triggered events at all times→Means whenever the trigger condition is matched, FD7131 will flash its white light.
  2. Only turn on white light LED in low light condition →Means only under low light condition, when the trigger condition is matched, FD7131 will flash its white light.

Otherwise, you can click on/off button on Home page to control white light.

Q7: What is "Recording notify" ?

Recording notify allows the Network Camera to send out notification to you when the recording disk is full or when recording starts to rewrite older data.

Q8: What is "Camera tampering detection" ?

Camera tampering detection: It can be a tigger condition that when the camera detects that is being tampered with. With tampering detection, the camera is capable of detecting incidents such as redirection, blocking or defocusing, or even spray paint.

Q9: What is "Temperature Alarm” of FD7130/FD7160?

Temperature Alarm: It can be a trigger condition that when the temperature inside the FD7130/FD7130 reaches 60°C.
