Q4: How can I pass audio and video at 80 port if the firewall in my office can allow HTTP only?

Most office has setup firewall to filter packets other than 80 port, the default HTTP port, and the public IP address is shared by multiple workstations. That's why there are many methods used in VoIP, instant messenger, file exchanger to bypass this rule for communication.

Our 3000 series products need one port for video, one port for audio and the other port to control the handshake and synchronization. If users can only use HTTP mode, there is video only transmitted via HTTP. To utilize HTTP port for general web data and such heavy multimedia content may make network administrator unhappy. They cannot separate either one for best management. However, users have to solve multiple servers located inside the firewall. That needs NAT support. NAT should have port mapping for different private IP address to one public IP address.

Q5: How many users are allowed to connect Video Server or Network Camera?

  • 2000 series:Allow twenty users.
  • 3000/6000 series:Allow Ten users.

Allow more users to receive periodic snapshots refreshed in seconds automatically. Since it is intended for security or real-time surveillance, too many users will share the bandwidth and make video refresh slowly.

Q6: What is the bandwidth required for IP7138/IP7139?

The following table is for your reference only. It may vary from different environments. The real data amout of output depends on the area monitored. All the colors, textures, and object numbers, size and speed of moving object will affect the result.

Test approach: Put a nodding doll in front of IP7139.
