Q1: How can I use Installation Wizard to upgrade firmware?

  1. Please go to the link to download the latest firmware.
  2. Unzip the zip file. (If it is "flash.bin' file, you do not have to unzip it or doing anything.)
  3. Please refer to the following steps to upgrade firmware:

Q2: I can use Installation Wizard to find my camera and its IP address is 192.168.0.99. But I can't link it. Why?

Please check the IP of your PC is in the same domain of your camera. For example, if your IP address is 192.168.3.25, please change it to be 192.168.0.25 to connect to your camera.

Q3: What is the difference between Installation Wizard and Installation Wizard II?

  1. Installation Wizard II is for VIVOTEK new products such as IP7138/IP7139/VS7100/FD7131/IP7151/IP7152…etc, and it also supports older products. However, Installation Wizard only support older VIVOTEK products, although it can search the IP address of new products, it can't support "Upgrade"," Setup" functions for new products.
  2. Installation Wizard II has more convenient features than Installation Wizard. For example, you can know what URL you should use to connect to the camera from Internet, or LAN, or by mobile phone. You can save the information to your "Favorite" or Export to your desktop.
