VIVOTEK (3454TW), the global leading IP surveillance solution provider, strives for the promotion of sustainable development and makes use of its security expertise to care for the disadvantaged and practice social engagement. After the “Community Safety Map” activities last year, VIVOTEK followed up with the “Secret Order of Safety Map Planning” sustainable project this year. Employees formed interdepartmental security teams to carry out inspection on the premises of Taoyuan City Happy Home Mental Retardation Training Services Institution and identified hidden safety concerns for safety proposals, building for the residents with disabilities a safe and secure living environment.
“We formed interdepartmental teams internally based on the needs of Happy Home, and provided many professional suggestions to jointly build for Happy Home a one-of-a-kind safety map, offering its residents a safer living environment,” said VIVOTEK Spokesperson and Director of Global Marketing Division, Allen Hsieh. Happy Home is home to 50 residents with disabilities. Despite increased number of staffers and enhanced safety measures, there remained safety concerns due to emergencies.
“This Safety Map project is unlike past corporate volunteering programs,” said Happy Home Director Yu Chun-yin. “Through innovative methods, VIVOTEK employees were really giving us a “diagnosis” on safety, proposing solutions for deficiencies, and giving us new ways of thinking on safety. Thanks to VIVOTEK for providing security equipment and protecting Happy Home every day.” For the project, VIVOTEK employees visited Happy Home to observe the residents’ daily routine, interviewed social workers and the residents, and offered several solutions; they also donated network camera software and hardware based on Happy Home’s needs to tackle safety pain points, in aim to satisfy the need of living with a peace of mind while also ensuring safety, health, and comfort.
“VIVOTEK responds to corporate sustainability by upholding the brand spirit of ‘care,’” pointed out VIVOTEK President Alex Liao. “We do not just donate surveillance equipment; we also make use of our expertise to raise the overall safety awareness and exert our social influences. Our employees probed and learned the needs of Happy Home and brainstormed together to propose Safety Map solutions. We proactively care for the society and build a safer environment.”
Starting from “care,” VIVOTEK continues to help the disadvantaged in our society through the Safety Map charity activities, utilizing its security expertise to propose environment optimization plans, practicing brand spirit, and responding to UN SDGs of Good Health and Well-being, Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, and Sustainable Cities and Communities. VIVOTEK will continue to build safe and secure sites, strengthen the ESG aspects of operations, develop corporate resilience, care for social issues, and practice the spirit of sustainability.
