Account & Access

I've registered for the VPP Portal. Why can't I log in yet?
All VPP Portal accounts require identity verification before activation. The system automatically routes your application to the regional reviewer based on your selected country. Your account remains inactive until the review is complete.

Common reasons include:
  • Review in progress: Your application is still being processed.
  • Pending email verification: Please check your inbox and click the verification link.
If you cannot log in after several days, please contact your local sales representative.
Why do I need a VPP Portal account if I already have a VORTEX account?

VORTEX and the VPP Portal serve different purposes. While a VORTEX account is used to manage and operate cloud surveillance system, a VPP Portal account gives partners access to Project Design and Device Management tools.

Manages and operates your daily cloud surveillance system.

VPP Portal Account

Helps partners execute Project Design and Device Management more efficiently, without switching between multiple tools.

Why is company information required during registration?
Company information is required to verify partner accounts and ensure the right access to VPP Portal features, services, and support. It also helps VIVOTEK provide appropriate partner resources, project management, and business-related communications.
Why haven't I received the email notification?
If you have not received the email, please check if:
  • The email was sent to your spam or junk folder.
  • Your company's mail server blocked the automated email.
  • The email address was entered incorrectly.
  • The verification link has expired. 
If you cannot receive the email, please contact your local sales representative for further assistance.

Devices & Notifications

Why can't I see my devices in the VPP Portal?
The VPP Portal displays sites and devices based on your account permissions and customer associations. Please ensure your devices are added to the correct site and your account holds management permissions.

Other potential reasons include:
  • Devices have not been added to the corresponding site.
  • Devices are not linked to the correct account or company.
  • VORTEX has not synced the latest device status.
  • Cameras under the NVR have not reported data properly.
  • Devices are not connected to the VPP Portal yet, delaying status updates.
Why did I receive an online/offline alert when the site looks fine?
This occurs because the system detects device status changes. If the on-site equipment is normal, the alert was likely caused by a brief network interruption or a temporary sync delay. You can check the event history in the Incidents Overview.
Can I reduce the number of device notifications?
Yes. You can adjust your notification rules in the settings. We recommend enabling Digest notifications or filtering alerts by specific sites or device groups to reduce repetitive alerts and focus on critical issues.
