Sales Map
Adhering to its core value of “Care,” VIVOTEK embodies its brand ethos, promotes corporate sustainability, and builds sustainability campaigns like the “Safety Map” for the surveillance industry. Through a unique approach to social participation, we have mobilized a cross-departmental security team for four consecutive years that works on the front lines to identify societal security challenges. In addition to donating AI cameras, we have provided professional security solutions to the organizations we assist. This comprehensive support has empowered them to efficiently track and address safety issues, optimize environmental safety, and create a more sustainable future for society.
In 2024, VIVOTEK’s “Safety Map” sustainability campaign expanded into the cultural sector by focusing on Hualien, a place frequently impacted by natural disasters. We launched the “Building Security in Dachen and Joining Regional Revitalization” initiative in Dachen New Village, home to one of Taiwan’s largest cultural tourism projects promoted by regional revitalization groups. Dachen New Village has a rich cultural heritage and was inhabited by refugees that evacuated from Dachen Island, Zhejiang with the late President Chiang Kai-shek in 1955. VIVOTEK brought together its employees, local elders, and the regional revitalization group, i.e., the “Social Innovation Lamb Studio,” to jointly examine security vulnerabilities in temples, alleys, neighborhood parks, and gathering places in order to plan solutions. We also used generative AI, developed by Taiwan Design Research Institute to visualize these solutions, making them easy for residents to follow and improve their environment. Additionally, the Company donated IP cameras to help optimize safety in Dachen New Village, giving residents peace of mind and attracting more tourists.
VIVOTEK employees formed a cross-departmental team and traveled to Dachen New Village. Our first stop was a Virtual-reality Theater created by the regional revitalization team, where we experienced firsthand the challenges refugees faced during their resettlement. This gave us a deeper appreciation for the community’s need for security. Next, we joined local elders and residents on a walk-through to examine environmental security blind spots. We identified several key areas: The Temple of the True Lord Ruanbi, a tourist attraction and center of local faith, needs better asset protection and improved accessibility for the elderly and people with disabilities; Neighborhood parks require a solution to stray animal issues to make them more comfortable for everyone; Alleys need to be secured in a way that preserves their nostalgic charm for tourists. We also learned that family members living away from the village hope to use remote camera monitoring to watch over their loved ones.
Employees from VIVOTEK’s product, R&D, and marketing departments formed workshops to brainstorm security solutions. Leveraging their expertise in surveillance, they proposed innovative and practical ideas. These included installing accessible spaces at the temple, implementing smart lighting systems to enhance nighttime safety, using AI cameras for stranger identification, and establishing shared activity spaces to promote intergenerational interaction.
VIVOTEK maintains its distinctive approach to social participation, cultivating its own path towards sustainable surveillance.
Upholding its core value of Care, VIVOTEK organizes annual Safety Map sustainability initiatives. In the first year, we reached out to the community to help strengthen neighborhood security. In the second year, we provided An-con Mental Retardation Training Services Institution with solutions to address hidden hazards. In the third year, we created a safer campus environment for Shuangxi Elementary School. In the fourth year, we have been going to Dachen New Village in Hualien to create a safe living and tourism environment. VIVOTEK has consistently advocated for social and environmental optimization initiatives over the past three years. We aim to cultivate a secure living space for all by prioritizing the establishment of a safe, resilient, and sustainable environment.
Every Mid-Autumn Festival, VIVOTEK purchases mooncake gift sets and pomelos to distribute to three childcare institutions, adding warmth to the festive atmosphere for the children. The childcare institutions are Chung-Yi Social Welfare Foundation’s Zhongyi Childcare Center in Taipei City, Cathwel Service’s Jonah House in New Taipei City, and Bethany Children’s Home in Taipei City. Additionally, we have purchased two laptops as a donation for the Hondao Senior Citizen’s Welfare Foundation.
For its Company events, VIVOTEK sources refreshments from Tribake, a supplier that aligns with our commitment to social responsibility and environmental sustainability. Tribake provides a welcoming and inclusive workplace for people with disabilities. It prioritizes sustainable consumption by using locally sourced rice flour and EAST-certified eggs. Tribake simplifies its product packaging to reduce waste, using paper boxes instead of plastic bags. It also encourages its employees to bring their own reusable bottles to help protect the environment and effectively reduce waste.
To encourage employee participation in charitable activities, VIVOTEK has implemented a volunteer leave policy, which embodies the company’s spirit of caring. Employees can earn volunteer leave hours by participating in company-organized charitable events during holidays or by joining social welfare activities held by government-registered charitable organizations on regular workdays. This initiative allows employees to devote time to caring for others and contribute to society beyond their daily work.
